The Pitbull Platinum is the first head shaver I have ever owned. I first I loved it and it seemed to work great for about 7 months. The battery life was solid and it seemed to do a great job at shaving my head. And then in the 7th month it started to just turn off. I thought the blades were sticking, so I would clean it and lubricate them, but it kept doing this, with a little tap indicator light. The manual said this meant that I needed to clean the blades, but i already had cleaned to be be pristine.It got worse over the following weeks and eventually would just run for seconds at a time.I ordered a new shaver from a different manufacturer, and I have to say that I was shocked at just what a piece of crap the Pitbull actually was. Turns out that with the Pitbull being my FIRST electric head shaver, I was just ignorant to what a real good shaver was like.Where the Pitbull would take anywhere from 5-7 minutes to shave my head after just 2 days growth and there was a LOT of going over and over certain spots like the back of my neck.This new shaver would clear the hair off my head in practically one pass.It took all of just 1 shave with the new razor and I threw out my PitbullI did spend a lot of time researching the issue, since at the time I really liked the Pitbull, and I saw literally hundreds of others who had the same issues or worse with theirs. From what I read Pitbulls customer service is non-existent and if you are lucky enough to get someone to reply, they are just rude and tell people that it is out of warranty blah blah blah.With what I know now, I would tell everyone looking at a Pitbull Shaver to stay away. There are other units that are 10 x better and more reasonably pricedDo yourself a favor and keep moving on past this company and their products

I had this shaver for 4 years. I use like maybe once every month or two. So not a lot. After 4 years, without warning, it just stopped working. It definitely still holds charge because the battery indicator still shows 90%. The display simply shoes a faucet icon and the machine just doesn’t work. The faucet icon usually means to wash the blade. I’ve tried everything, believe me. I washed it under running water, used qtip to clean inside, pressed and held power button for 10-20 seconds. It just died. For such an expensive machine and not that much use, I wish it would have lasted longer.But anyway, when it works it works very well. It’s so smooth I’ve never even had a scratch. I’ve tried it dry and wet but wet is usually better.Anyway, I contacted the company and they responded very quickly. They propose a replacement for the handle with 1 year warranty for $99. That’s better than buying a new one given I already invested in a new blade not long ago. The overall process was very smooth. I really appreciate the service.So anyway, 5 stars for custom service, 5 for the machine when it works, but i gotta subtract one in memory of the dead one 🥲
