Excellent product
Unfortunately the first one I received was not in the box but I have noticed that it does not seem to be packaged it was just its original box. This new one has now landed and it is absolutely perfect and the water tastes great 👍

The item became defective (it turns on automatically, very annoying)
This water filter was a good product but unfortunately it became defective within two months of normal use. The defect is that the unit turns on automatically and randomly which is very annoying. Moreover, water is being wasted in this manner, which is a real concern. Very disappointed with the item. Return period is now over :(

Water comes out slow, filter runs out fast.
I live in London where the tap water is generally decent. However the filter ran out after a month. On the one hand it feels unsustainable , but on the other hand if the water really is that bad then it feels like a necessity. It is really easy to install and use, and can hold a lot of water. It does take a long time (about 35/40s as opposed to 3 seconds from the tap) to fill a glass. The water tastes much better than tap but only if you cycle 3l through new filters before drinking any water. This seems wasteful and I’m looking into buying third-party filters to make this more affordable in the long-term.

Awful taste
Loved the idea of this, nice large volume and filters on demand. It’s easy to use and fits nicely in the fridge door. For me it’s easier than having to wait for the water to go through the Brita that I already owned. However the taste from this Philips filter is horrible, strong plastic chemical taste. It recommends to flush through 3 litres and then it’s ready. I did 9 litres and it was still horrible. So unfortunately I had to return.

A great device that I wish I had discovered sooner.
The Philips Instant Water Filter is genius. I think it is meant for a fridge door, but it has solved a problem I was having perfectly. I have a Games Room and use a Breville One Cup for hot drinks. But the water reservoir on the Breville empties really quickly. I need to use filtered water because the water in my part of the country is harder than coffin nails. The Philips solves the problem beautifully, giving me a big water reservoir and! filtered water. The fact that it is powered is great, as you don't need to position it hanging off the edge of a table. The carry handle is comfortable to use and the battery charge lasts about 7 refills to 'low battery' and 10 refills to 'empty battery'. The water droplet symbol on the touch-sensitive switch changes from blue to purple for low battery and red for recharge required. It takes about three hours to recharge from a 1 amp usb socket. The only thing I dislike is the fact that the switch icon is hard to see, being white on a silver background, but that is a terrible nit-pick on an otherwise brilliant device. Highly recommended.
