I can be a pretty ruthless product reviewer but these are real good. They are strong, well made, easy to install and hold a lot of stuff. I bought two and then bought a 3rd a year later. I wish I had done them all at once because once you start installing them it’s easy to keep going. Because they hang they are forgiving in terms of where the mounts go, a few of mine had to be offset slightly because of garage door opener and it’s no problem. They also include some extra hardware which saved me. The last one I installed I jumped up and hung on, that’s my usual test for mounting things since I weight 200lbs. The mount came out of the wall on one side because I missed the stud, but the whole unit didn’t come down. So there is redundancy aka it’s very safe. I did bend one mount but they provided extras so it was no problem. I would recommend getting a laser square and a good (better than mine) stud finder. Then also just buy enough to cover your ceiling and knock it all out in one day. I’ll try to remember to take a picture and post it.

Installed the 3x8 Fleximount above my garage—definitely a solid and secure system once it’s up, but getting there was a bit of a struggle doing it solo. Finding the studs was the hardest part, and keeping everything level took a lot of double-checking. If you’re doing this yourself, take your time with measurements and prep—those steps matter more than you think.One heads-up: I mounted this over my garage door and didn’t realize the edge of the door would hit the bottom of the Fleximount platform, even at the lowest height setting. That was frustrating and took some rework.Took me about 4-5 hours start to finish. Looking back, I’d gladly pay extra to have it professionally installed, but I’ll admit—it was satisfying to get it done myself. Overall, it’s a great product and feels very sturdy. Just plan ahead.

I’m happy with the product but installation could have been easier. Connecting the shelves together is really tough. The specs are so tight that if it’s like 1/4 mm off center you are going to put in some work to get the 10mm screw to start then you’re stuck with a tiny Allen wrench to torque through the metal plate that is off centered by literally almost nothing. I will say the hardware provided is exceptional and some serious lag bolts to provide the durability. All of the screws and nuts are high quality and I really appreciated that. The instructions were also pretty terrible but I managed. Just wasted time figuring out what was meant for the corners and what was meant for the center upright pieces. Like the drawings are zoomed out so far you can’t tell which piece is supposed to go where. I spent three hours to install this thing but if I did it again I could do it in about an hour and 40 minutes of that would be connecting the dang shelves together.What I didn’t anticipate was how much storage it would create under it. Like my ladder and golf bags and for home and kids banana bike can hang from the shelving and I still have room.One bummer is that I had to put up ply wood on the sides so I could store more things. I need to paint them but for now it looks janky because of the wood. I suppose if you were going to use bins you could use as is or go into a corner. I’m using it more for getting my kids stuff off the floor so I need to be able to access everything I put on the rack so bins aren’t going to happen.

So glad I bought these ceiling storage racks!!! Very well made and the instructions were straight forward. 3 x 8 provided the perfect area for storing bins and loss items. I have so much more room in my garage now. Highly recommend them based on quality and price.
