5 star organic black decaf tea
I recently tried the Clipper Organic Decaf Black Tea, and I must say, it’s a game-changer in the world of decaffeinated teas. This tea offers a rich and robust flavor that is rare in decaf options. The organic Assam black tea blend is smooth and aromatic, providing a full-bodied experience without any bitter aftertaste. It’s the perfect choice for those who love the taste of tea but want to avoid the jitters associated with caffeine. The natural decaffeination process used for this tea is particularly impressive. Using carbon dioxide, the same compound we exhale, Clipper has managed to create one of the best-tasting organic decaf teas on the market. This chemical-free method maintains the integrity and flavor of the tea, which is often lost in other decaffeination processes.Brewing this tea is a delightful experience. The recommendation to use freshly boiled water and steep for 3-5 minutes works perfectly, resulting in a cup of tea that is both soothing and satisfying. Whether enjoyed plain or with a touch of milk and sweetener, it’s a wonderful alternative to coffee. The commitment of Clipper to being eco-conscious and ethical adds to the appeal of this tea. The plant-based, plastic-free, and fully biodegradable teabags are a testament to their dedication to sustainability and the environment. Plus, being a certified B-Corp company, their focus on fair trade practices makes each sip feel even more rewarding. In conclusion, Clipper’s Organic Decaf Black Tea is not just a beverage; it’s an experience. It’s a blend that satisfies the palate, respects the environment, and supports ethical practices. For anyone seeking a delicious, guilt-free cup of decaf tea, this is an excellent choice.

Great decaf!
Love this tea! For decaf it has a strong flavor, and it is not bitter. I am happy it is organic and made decaf without harmful chemicals.

My favorite decaf tea - makes a good strong brew
I love this tea! I drink probably 3-4 cups a day, one of the perks of decaf. I've given up caffeine but my love for the taste and ritual of coffee and tea has remained. From what I've heard tea is an especially important consumable to get organic, partially because you're steeping nasty pesticides along with the tea itself in your hot water. Now, who knows how much of this we can actually control but I've decided to stick to trying for decaf AND organic which ended up being slightly more difficult to find, which is one reason I love this particular product so much. Now, my taste preference for tea is robust, like a builders brew. I actually tend to dislike fancier, lighter-bodied teas because I find them a bit too mild and I like my tea strong with milk and honey. A perk of this preference is that this type of tea tends to be cheaper (fine by me) which may contribute to the decent price point on this product. So, for those tea snobs out there, this may not be the right tea for you if you like a more subtle flavor (no judgment, my taste in coffee is, unfortunately, much pricier). Don't get me wrong, I think this particular tea is not only robust but has some lovely notes to it, which lend themselves particularly well to a good local honey. I think it's super yummy.Anyway, TLDR: Great tasting tea, nothing fancy (it's a finer, almost powdery leaf) but perfect if you like a robust, strong brew. Bonus points for being organic and unbleached.

I can not understand any bad reviews of this tea!
I can’t understand any bad reviews of this tea! ORGANIC DECAF.. Do you know how hard that is to find? And it taste as good or BETTER than the tea I enjoy at my favorite restaurants. It has a fresh, smooth ‘clean’ taste. My husband prefers “our tea at home” to the restaurants. If it is not strong enough for you.. adjust the number of bags or brew time to your taste. It will taste as bold or mild as you prefer with minor adjustments. Is there loose fine tea dust in my box.. yes. Every time. Do I care? Of course not, there are bags of tea in the box. If it’s on the bag it literally makes zero difference in the brewed tea. 🙄 I have ordered this tea several times. It is consistently good. It’s one of the few things I have ordered from Amazon that I was willing to put up with long shipping times. I once waited weeks only to have my box left in the pouring rain by the deliverer. It was a day of sad faces at my house. lol I was super EXCITED to see my most recent order no longer had the long wait time!!! 2 day shipping! Woohoo .. this will make happy faces at my house because I was almost completely out.

Warning. Came totally smashed and open.
I reordered this decaf tea as I love the flavor and like to drink decaf at night. I've received it fine in the past but I'll be throwing this out as it came with the box completely smashed and torn open on one side. Waste of money as I'm not using an open food product. Not worth the potential money waste to order ot online again so I guess I'll just get some other decaf tea elsewhere. The tea is good if you receive it intact.

Good tea but not good assam flavor
Assam tea's meant to be much bolder and richer than what this is. I know that the decaffeinating process can really mellow out the flavor of tea but wow that malty flavor I usually expect has disappeared completely.Points for biodegradable packaging and you get a lot of decent black tea for the price. If you came here expecting a rich, malty flavor typically associated with assam you will be disappointed, but as a basic black tea you can have any time of day it's not half bad, it may be mellowed for an assam but it's still well rounded and full bodied and it doesn't even get bitter if you accidentally oversteep which I appreciate since my sense of time is nonexistent. It's definitely better than most English/Irish breakfast teas I've had too with better flavor and is way less astringent.

High hopes, fell flat
I love black teas and was looking for a decaf variety for evenings. I like the Clipper brand, but this fell pretty flat. Decaf tea is usually subpar in the aroma and flavor department and this was no different from others I have tried. If you have the right expectations, that decaf tea can only be so good, then this is worth a try. Otherwise look elsewhere.
