I was very sceptical!
I have worked in the consumer electronics industry for 30 years and have been let down plenty with technology. That being said I was not expecting this to work. I wanted to have cable available on my porch to enjoy the cool weather and watch tv. My option was to spend a ton of dough on having a contractor run a cable wire through a brick wall. I tried this and was blown away. It works very well. There is a slight delay when using the remote to change channels or access the cable guide but it is minor. Highly recommended!

Works great!
This is my fourth HDMI transmitter/receiver setup. I tried three other competitors to this unit, and each failed. My setup is simple - the TV is also 50 feet away from my PC in my study, but the other units lost signal or had jittery picture and sound. The PAKITE has a crystal clear high definition picture and sound, and a reliable connection that is idiot-proof. No issues.I havenot access the system and I think there is no need to change the password. I will update my review if there is any problems.

Not quite there
I ordered this device based on positive reviews. I was looking for something better than the Actiontec that has considerable lag for the picture and sound. I have two TVs in the same room about 20 feet apart. But with the lag in sound, they can't both be on at the same time. Once I had the PAKITE set up (with a lot of help from the seller) I noticed a smaller lag time. The sound was off enough to make a reverberation, but that was somewhat acceptable. However, the picture also lagged making the receiving TV's picture choppy. Any time there was movement, like in a sports game, or the crawl across the bottom, the picture on the receiving TV was too jittery to watch. Fortunately the seller and Amazon made returning it very easy. Sorry it didn't work out. I went back to my old Actiontec unit, until I can find something better.

Simple solution to a common connectivity problem.
I have used a product like this for our TV in the kitchen. When our old Turk unit died, I searched for another Terk unit, or, one that was like it in specifications for this type of application. The Good:Simple easy to use as my old system. it provides the same connectivity on the same band. The Bad:The directions are very basic, not labeled well, and, provide sample diagrams for multiple model numbers. You need to identify the sending unit from the receiving unit and connect the right one in each room. The labels are on the front in very small type. The labels are easy to overlook, I did. After some troubleshooting, I recognized my error, I swapped the units from each room, and, then I got a strong clear picture on the receiving TV. I can imagine that this problem can lead to high returns. Don't make the same mistake that I did!

Excellent Product, Terrible Instruction Manual
Don't be discouraged by the extremely terrible instruction manual, as I was, before actually just plugging the transmitting and receiving units into the cables and power supply. To my amazement the transmission from one part of the house to another worked flawlessly. Luckily for me I did not experience any interference using the factory set frequency. If I had had some interference, trying to make some sense on how to change the transmission frequency would have been impossible for me because of the extremely bad English skills of the person or persons who wrote the manual. For those individuals who, like I, don't have a TV with a HDMI outlet and are relying on antenna rather than cable TV reception, they can instead, as did I, obtain a HDMI output using a video recorder such as those sold by Channel Master.

Tricks for Install
Out of the box, the Pakite Wireless Extender would not connect. Here are the steps I took to get a very nice 1080p picture line-of-sight across a family room:1. Disable WiFi 5 GHz on a nearby wireless access point to avoid channel conflict issues. (This may not be necessary with the steps below).2. Set up the Pakite hardware as described in the user manual.3. Unplug your cable set-top box for fifteen seconds, then plug it back in. This will put the STB in boot mode, likely at 720p.4. Power on, then press the reset button on the back of the Pakite receiver until a blue light flashes on the front.5. Power on, then press the reset button on the back of the Pakite transmitter until a blue light flashes on the front. My devices connected in a few seconds and accepted the STB's 1080p signal. All is good.Note the user manual says to "power off the receiver and transmitter when not in use." To me, that's engineering-speak for "your device will last longer if not powered on all the time."

Great product
Hookup was easy. Works great through 3 walls and out in the garage 60' way. On wish it supported more than one receiver

Better purchase than I hoped for
This solved a major problem. I have an outdoor Ramada with a TV, and I wanted to be able to watch live TV without an internet live TV subscription. I hooked the transmitter up to my living room TV, 100 ft from my Ramada, and it broadcasts whatever's on my cable box. So fun to watch playoff football while eating outside. No loss of picture quality, and I avoided having a contractor trench to install cable outside.
