This AK model from Maximum Armory turned out to be great, everything arrived exactly like in the pictures, and right out of the box, it gave off a quality-first impression.The packaging deserves a shoutout. It wasn’t just tossed in a flimsy bag or plain box like you see with a lot of generic stuff. This came in a nicely branded package, well-protected, and nothing was broken, chipped, or even slightly scuffed. As someone who actually appreciates good presentation (especially when buying gifts or just collecting), I always notice when a brand puts that kind of care into their product, and this one definitely did.The model itself is really nicely done. It has a good weight to it, mostly metal, and the matte black with the faux wood finish looks sharp, dont be thrown off by the color (yellowish tint) of my pics, i have yellow light at home to help with my sleep, but it's exactly as the pics advertise. It includes two removable mags, metal dummy rounds, and cool little details like the iron sights and muzzle brake. You can even mod it a bit if you’re into customizing with paint or tape, which is a fun bonus.If you're a gun model collector or thinking of gifting to someone who is, this one is worth checking out, no assembly required, and it fits perfectly on the stand provided. It looks great on display (stand included) and feels premium in-hand. Very satisfied.

I ordered the latter.Includes the rifle, a bag of dummy rounds, small Allen wrench, two magazines, polishing cloth, lubricant, and stand.I thought that some assembly might be required, but the only assembling here is inserting rounds in the mags, or inserting the mags into the rifle, or setting the rifle in the stand.With a mag inserted, the rifle can be set into the stand, resting on the base of the grip and magazine. A peg in the stand fits in the grip. The stand setup is secure and stable.The dummy rounds slot easily into the magazines. And the mags rock and lock smoothly into the magwell. When the charging handle is pulled rearward, it slides forward, picking up a round and chambering it, or locking back on an empty mag. Also, if there was already a round chamber, it's ejected forcefully.The safety lever works, in that it slides up and down into multiple positions. When in the top position, you cannot retract the charging handle all the way to the rear to chamber a round. The lever leaves a semicircular mark on the receiver, just like on a real AK.Noticed some wear already to the finish on the underside of the bolt after some light use. Maybe a good place to add a dab of lubricant.Overall: This is an incredibly accurate sub-sized model of a stamped AK. Great show piece, and a teaching tool to familiarize someone with the application, feel, and operation of the firearm.

With the price tag I was stressing as I waited for this to come. I figured that surely for $180 the quality would be top notch. Once I received my little box of joy I was happy to see I was right! The details and quality are outstanding. It has a nice weight to it. When I ordered I didn't realize it came with a stand/mount. That was a nice find. My only complaint (and this is minor) is that I only got 2-3 bullets. It's fun to slide the chamber and have a bullet fly out so I wish there were more.Who knows, I might be back for other models now.

Ordered this because I'm a big gun guy.. The modeling is pretty accurate, comes preassembled, and has a decent heft to it. Unfortunately that's about where I run out of "pros" in my pros/cons list.The model touts that it can realistically cycle, and while that's kind of true I've had multiple failures to feed and many failures to eject while "cycling" the gun. The fitment of some other parts, like the magazine into the receiver, is also rough.I don't really think this is a good toy for kids either, both because the mechanism isn't super reliable (I've had to clear some pretty significant jams and it's only been me playing with it, and because there's no orange markings or other indication this is just a toy until you get up close. Trust me, that's not something you want to be arguing about in court (depending on your local government, of course).At the price point, this really needed to blow me away to sell me on ordering more of them, and it has fallen far short of that mark. In the end, I like the idea a whole lot more than I like the actual item. If it were fullsize, MAYBE it would be worth it.

Nice model AK-47. Looks realistic in a mini form. Comes with everything, including a stand. The pull up sight did not stay up. The trigger does nothing, like it's permanently locked (it does NOT shoot). This is NOT A TOY for kids or anyone... this is a model gun for people who just really like guns. Basically, a conversation piece. Great gift for any model gun collector. Comes fully assembled.
