Art Deco Hardcover – September 20, 2013

I love anything Art Deco including this book. Beautiful, high quality. Pricy but worth it to Art Deco lovers. Sits on my ottoman always.

The book is not excellent, but it's good. I actually wanted it to find some nice deco artwork that I could display in my deco bedroom. It provided that in a good size that would not take up much wall space. I tore out a few pictures and framed them.

I was somewhat disappointed with this book because there are too many paintings covered and not enough furniture, silverware and transportation covered. People that like a lot Art Deco paintings would enjoy this Layout of the book is well done.

A very heavy book, 6.5 lbs, with many unnecessarily large illustrations.I found the text pretentious and could not be bothered to read much of it.There was no mention of Britain's most important art deco interior - Eltham Palace in South London, designed by Rolf Engstromer, also not mentioned. The author was on an ego trip.Not worth the money or the space it occupies. I will give it to a charity shop.Alan Comyns

I was a bit disappointed that there is so little sculpture from the period covered. As the previous reviewer points out, it is top heavy with paintings.Also the paper quality is matt rather than glossy, which loses something I think.I'm glad I didn't spend the RRP of £60!I think if you're a fan of deco you'll find this an in depth and well researched book.

Product arrived in excellent time and in great condition, very well illustrated book with plenty of coloured images and substantial present for somebody. Really good value for money.
