Moving 'n' Grooving: Dance Like a Pop Star! [VHS]

Keeping Fit!
I have a 3 year old and she completely loves movin'n'groovin. The routines do have to be learnt before you can sail all the way through a dance routine. I've read all the reviews here, and there is a theme - practice makes perfect! My daughter and I practice one routine then she gets bored and wants to just watch the other 4 songs and we try a bit of the dance moves but then have general fun by making up our own moves. Each time we watch the DVD, her dance routines improve. It's supposed to be fun! so if your child likes music and likes dancing, who cares if you get the routine 100%? We love it! and it keeps us active and fit.

Where are the boys??
I can appreciate that some would find these routines a bit too quick to learn; I think you'd have to be pretty self-motivated (which a lot of kids are). But my main gripe is that there are NO BOYS in the routines!! So it should be called Dance, Fun and Fit for Girls - no boy would touch this with a barge pole, which is a real shame.

Not as good as I would have liked would have liked boys in the dance set up

Brilliant!
My daughter's a bit too young for this, but I thought that introducing her to the coordinated movement and songs would be fun. She bounces along to the tunes and is trying to copy some of the routines depicted, she'll be a first class Royal Ballet dancer by the time she's 4 of course...

DVD did not work!
I chose the One Star rating because I could go no lower; the cover was attractive. The DVD was totally non-functioning. The message that appeared when I unsuccessfully tried to play the DVD was as follows: Disc Error Please eject this disc Playback feature may not be available on this Disc. I have never encountered such poor quality in negotiations with Amazon. I wanted to use the DVD to dance La Macarena because I thought it would be a fun way to get started exercising. Thank you for your follow-up.

keeping fir the fun way for kids
Bought the set of three for grandadughter aged 7 for Christmas, she loves them and has played them several times already showing me all the moves she has learned last night (New Years Eve). One of my Christmas best buys I think

Just an idea to get a sedentary child who likes music to get up boogie.
This was a present for my grand-daughter. I think she will probably enjoy it but no word yet, time will tell. These things usually mean my involvement so a good laugh will be inevitable.
