I love how this particular board works in practice. Board is very sturdy. It is nicely beveled, so easy to slide partially underneath transferee. "Bottom-side" of board has enough texture to resist sliding from start and endpoints during transfer. All edges are very smoothly rounded off, so no damage to the seating surfaces involved in the transfer. The "top surface of the board has a nicely slick surface, makes it pretty easy to slide along. The cutouts in the board are indeed very useful as handholds. All these little features add up to a big positive difference compared to other transfer boards, especially plastic transfer boards I've tried.

This sliding board in my experience is far better than the standard sliding board.The length and width not only creates a much stabler and solid platform. But it gives me a lot more space to work with while I'm transferring. This sliding board makes it easier for me to transfer and it makes me feel safer.The sliding board is slightly heavy because of the size and because it's made of wood. But the hand holds make it easier to carry and hold. I highly recommend this sliding board.

This board is sturdy, works well for transferring my mom from seat to seat, as she is mobility limited. I appreciate its uses, and would recommend this :)

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It does what it needs to do but it keeps getting scratched up. I wish it included a sleeve or something to protect it. Most of the damage is occurring from wheelchair to car and car to wheelchair transfers. I find it best for the patient to wear something like exercise shorts to make the transfers easier.

The board is durable and of good quality. It has made my life easier when transferring. The board is coated with a finish that makes it soft. This also helps make gliding from one stop to another easy. It is also perfectly sized.

Sturdy and easy to use.

Be aware you can't return this, board is sturdy but and me is too narrow and very slippery. Disappointed I can't return I only used it once so I'm out 24.00.

I'm paralyzed from the chest down. I use this board to transfer myself between my bed an my electric wheelchair. I also use it when I go to wound care so that I can easily transfer to the stretcher in a treatment room.
