Simple pictures and instructions
My 5 year old loved this book! It’s also very popular when other kids come over. The pictures are quite simple and you’re certainly not going to be Monet after using it! However, the steps are easy to follow and there is a lovely range of subject matter to attempt.

Good quality, easy, lots to do
I love this book. It's easy, fun things to draw and a lot in there. Good quality. Space to practise. It would have been easier if the next step was in another colour (hench why not 5 stars). Great book. My daughter likes it.

Really inspiring drawing book especially for adults
I recently purchased this book and have been thoroughly impressed with its content and approach to teaching drawing skills. One of the things I appreciate most about this book is that it starts with the basics and gradually progresses in difficulty, allowing the kids to build upon their skills as they work through the book. The instructions are clearly explained and accompanied by detailed illustrations, making it easy to follow along and understand each step of the process. This book has been a great resource for my 5 year old daughter, helping her to build her drawing skills and confidence. Overall, I can say that it really is a great choice for children who are looking to improve their drawing skills and build their confidence.

Lovely for giving much needed drawing confidence to my 6 year old.
Lovely book, we have all three of the Usborne step by step drawing books. Very easy to follow, breaks down pictures into drawing mostly simple known shapes, and putting them together to get the picture, which my 6 year old could do, ending up with something which looked like the thing it was supposed to resemble, and a fun light hearted version of it, which gave my daughter (who thinks she can't draw well) a great sense of achievement. Only things which you may want to be aware of (i) My daughter tells me that some of the faces they show you how to draw, are in one of the other two books, so it looks like there is an element of overlap between books, albeit small. (ii) Also, the book is fairly thick - nice thick pages to draw on, but most of the space on the pages is for the child to draw on rather than instructions and tips, not necessarily a downside, but if you're using 'thinkness' of book to gauge volume of content, this might just be worth considering, but yes, for a 6 year old who lacks confidence in drawing, this is a good book.

Fantastic book - I bought for my 4 year old but probably a slight advanced for him - have kept for maybe a year or twos time
