This is exactly what my husband was looking for.

These things are great. The PVC they're made from is vaguely foamy with solid surfaces: it's stiff yet not at all brittle, thus I was able to drill a mounting hole for the original speaker connector and extra holes for things like tie wraps to hold cabling in place, and not have to worry about cracking the plastic in the process: this makes them a completely customizable solution for any application of door speakers. I mounted six-inch Kenwood speakers into the boards with no problem at all, and they fitted the doors on my 300ZX 2+2 perfectly; they don't buzz or rattle - in fact, they have hardly any harmonic properties at all - thus the sound coming from the speakers is clear and uncluttered.

These are absolute garbage. Rear adapters do not fit at all...noy even close. Even after trying to modify them thdy look awful. Fronts adapters for my 300ZX were fine but rear is completely useless. No exaggeration...garbage.
