Works but installation is a delicate, exacting job!
I just successfully installed this screen on my iPod and this is not a job for the faint of heart! Even though I have worked on lots of iPhones, I would rate this as a much tougher item to work on than an iPhone. The components are tiny and really jammed in tight on the iPod and many parts are delicate and very easy to break. If you are not very experienced at this type of repair, don't even try it!The instructions are printed very small and, although detailed, are lacking in some respects. There are other places online to get the instructions, so this is not a big deal for me. The instructions are especially lacking as to reassembly. There is a connector on the back of the logic board that is easy enough to remove but it is very difficult to install the new one because the logic board can't be lifted enough to see, let alone properly place the new connector. You really need good light and, better yet, magnification to do the work. The screen itself seems to be of the same quality as the old one. The adhesive is a full die-cut sheet that includes the tiny strips that go down the sides. I haven't installed that yet as I want to see if there are any problems first and my case holds the screen on anyway. My kit came with a new home button but it did not work properly so I used the old one. Also, there were no instructions for installing the new button. It does not come with the home button switch and ribbon cable that is on the logic board. If you are thinking of trying to install this kit, I suggest you check out the videos on YouTube and/or ifixit before you puschase.

Very happy, works great!
This screen replacement worked great. I did not use the provided written instructions as I felt that for this procedure, I needed to actually see it being done.I recommend watching this video and following his instructions very carefully, it seems impossible to fail if you listen to everything he says: [...]I would also recommend buying some "Gel Super Glue" which is what was suggested in the video. The adhesive included in this replacement kit is not enough to adhere the screen to the device. I had some regular super glue at home which I used very carefully along the inside bevel of the device using conservative amounts and that seemed to work fine but apparently the "gel" glue is better.I'd also highly recommend getting a very small flat head screw driver to use in place of the plastic tool that comes with this kit. The plastic tool is basically useless and I found myself having much more success just using the flat head screw driver for the majority of the procedure, especially peeling off the screen and plugging in the digitizer. My iPod looks brand new again and works like a charm. Great product!

Overall great quality screen
After repairing my iPod, it removed the dead spot I had on one part of the screen where the LCD was blacked out. It worked out great for a few days until my iPod started skipping songs. I tried a hard reset and even did a factory reset on the iPod and it still keeps skipping songs. I love the new screen overall, but after the repair has been done, I'm not loving that my iPod keeps skipping songs. Something on the motherboard could've been damaged during the repair process, but overall, the screen was great quality. Just be careful while removing your old screen to switch it to the one.

Screen worked well, home button was not up to par.
Screen worked well, the adhesive strip provided was in the end almost useless. The home button it came with was way too stiff, I had to clean off the original button and re-use it, but there was enough adhesive included with the screen to make a template for it. To adhere the screen, I ended up junking the adhesive strip and applied rubber cement instead, as the adhesive tended to stretch and gather up unevenly creating a less than consistent seal.I would buy again minus the replacement home button.

Really good for the price
It took a while to get to my house (I ordered it with free shipping so that might be the reasons). The tools given were not the best but they worked. You also need a heat gun or blow dryer to fix it which does not come with the package. The screen is not retina or hd like Apple does, but it is a good replacement for the price. Also, the home button given makes it really hard to press, so I recommend that you use your actual home button.

Great replacement screen but...
Worked perfectly fine, barely can tell the difference but the button was stiff and when I applied the adhesive it got stuck to everything and pulled the digitizer up to which I only found out after closing everything up. After trying to open it back up it pulled apart the screen so I'll have to order another one. It's an otherwise great replacement screen, you just have to find a way to work with your original home button and get around the problem the adhesive cause me.

Nice product, but the screen does not get well attached
Really nice packet, it comes with all the implements to make the installation. The screen is working perfectly. The only thing that is not working very well are the sticky plastics to attach the screen to the frame. So, the screen is a bit lifted up. I bought a case for my iPod and that solved the problem visually and prevent the detachment of the screen.

I raked it at 4 starts because the fit was loose. It may have been that my I pod was bent, but the screen still pops out.. and I cant use my circle button. Also, I bought the kit and had it installed by another person, so I don't know if its all in human error.
