Hello!This is an excellent product and quite affordable (Vue Gen2, with 8 sensors in addition to the main two that come by default).The manual at the website is quite detailed, and covers several faqs. The installation was fairly easy after reading the manual several times, and being very careful during installation.There are two wires for sensing the two main busbar voltages for proper watt calculations. The application will let you know If the two wires are connected to the same busbar, and will give you the chance to correct and connect them to separate busbars; quite convenient, and this gives you the confidence that the equipment is indeed reading the voltage for watt calculations, and not using any estimated values.Connecting to the cloud might take a while, especially if there is something wrong with the router. In my case, the system did not connect to the cloud initially, and we got concerned about that; but the system connected to the cloud immediately when using the phone hotspot. So, the problem was really the router. After trying reconfiguring the router for a very long time, we finally factory reset the router and worked immediately.The cloud has been working flawlessly since the installation on late September (it's now early November, 2021). Please bear in mind two important things: the one-second data does not storage for a long time, and the exported data from the cloud to csv format shall be downloaded shortly or it will not be available after a while. This second condition is not critical for long available data, but it is for short term data (seconds and minutes).After having everything up and running (we changed the sensors and circuit configurations a few times to get the most out of the system) the information provided is quite useful, as you will know the consumption of almost all your equipments (or group of equipments, depending on the configuration) with a very high degree of accuracy.Storaged information is only available in watts, but current (Amps) is available at the moment, and for quite a long time, depending on the time step.Graphics are quite useful, as they provide a lot of information at different time steps and for each and every circuit, and also in Amps or watts.This system exceeded our expectations by far, after getting it properly installed and configured.For knowing your consumption with high degree of details and accuracy, this is the right equipment, both on features and on price.Don't wait any more, don't think any more, just get it; you won't regret.Best regards,

This is a well engineered product.The hardware is slick, compact and straightforward to install. I tested the accuracy of both the amps and watts being reported on the Vue2 iPhone app, using both a Fluke meter and a Kill-a-Watt meter, for electronic devices, electrical equipment and appliances, and for high-load motor-driven items like my heat pump. I also tested the input watts from my solar array. In all cases, the Vue2 results were close enough for my needs (and I suspect for most households who need to track electricity use on a dollar/energy basis).True, the software does not compensate for voltage fluctuations (mine range from ~118-120), but again, for almost all practical purposes, those differences are negligible. The reporting update frequency is once per second, plenty fast enough to capture the start-up surges on my high-load induction motors.My primary reason for purchasing this unit was to identify the use in watts of all my main and sub-panel circuits in order to correctly size the purchase of an emergency backup generator, and to determine which of my high-watt appliances I could run at the same time while on generator power. This unit was perfect for that.Additionally, the support crew over at Emporia is outstanding. Easy to reach, extremely knowledgeable technically, and dedicated to the premise of high-quality customer service. A couple of times, I needed a few more individual 50-amp sensors as my circuit breaker panel evolved, and getting them was a simple phone call away. They happily answered all of my detailed questions both before and after my purchase.Finally, Emporia performs the software development for their phone app in-house in Colorado, which means they can integrate customer requests and suggestions for app enhancements quickly. For example, I requested that they add the ability to combine two sensors (from each wire of a double-pole breaker) into a single Named Circuit on the app, so that I wouldn't have to do the math myself for every two-wire breaker in my panel. I was told that the enhancement is already being worked on and that a software release update is about four weeks away. This is great stuff, in my view.With a price point that is competitive and very fair for what you get, this is a five star product in every regard.
