Did Not Work At All
Pens came without any brand packaging, just in a ziploc bag, so I was unable to look at product date. Then when trying to use, found one pen was completely dried out. Pressed over and over, shook pen over and over, pressed again and again, and ink never flowed into tip. Tried the second pen and whole it did finally flow after many attempts, it was slow to flow and never worked right. Seller was cooperative and provided a refund so kudos to them but beware of this brand pen. I also bought the "Tire Ink" brand pens which worked fantastic. One pen has colored two complete sets so far, with three coats on each set and still going strong. See my review of that brand if you want.

Disappointed at best
I spent over 2 hours doing prep work making sure to do this right... Nothing like the video or pictures. Wasted time and money.

Tire Pen application
I purchased a total of six tire pens because I wasn't sure of coverage & didn't want to run out. My project was to reapply red lines on an older set of red line tires and apply new red lines to a set of non-red line tires. The non-red lines tires are pictured on the left. Both sets of tires required 2-3 coats min. After a short period of time the paint tip would become dry which prevented good flow. To remedy I dipped the tip in a cup of water to keep it moist. Additionally, I would rotate the tip 180° from time to time. Once I had a feel for what i was doing it took me about one hour to complete one coat on a tire. The application technique was slightly different between the two sets of tires. The channel on the non-red line tires had a serrated (not smooth) surface texture which required "dabbing" the area to paint, this allowed the paint to flow into the serrated surfaces. I could paint about a 1" x 1" area before needing to recharge the tip. I found it VERY beneficial to place a piece of plastic on the bench and use it as a paint pallet. Dipping the tip in water & dabbing on the plastic allowed me to make a small puddle of paint to work with. Yes, this was time consuming process but in the end the tires looked OK. I also found if you try and touch-up while the paint is not dry it tended to pull up the first coat. Lastly, keeping paint between the lines wasn't a problem, any paint applied where it wasn't intended could be easily wiped away.I can't speak to how it will hold up yet
