If you're working with more than an acre, buy a stihl
Update!!!The pull cord stopped engaging the flywheel. Removed pull cord compartment, but there did not seem to by any problems with pawls or otherwise. Was able to force flywheel to turn with fingers, but was difficult, as it should be. I reconnected everything, and no matter what, the portion of the pull cord compartment that is supposed to engage the flywheel will not turn it. Contacted seller for possible replacement parts. Waiting to hear back. This does result in one less star than previously given.I'd like to state that I do like this product. It's well priced, and for about an acre of property in florida, it works very well. There are a few problems.1. The instruction manual was not for this product.2. The shield is useless, and quite dangerous; the shield moved, the blade hit it, and plastic shards hit me in the shin and cut me pretty bad.3. It's not well balanced despite dual handles, and is built off center. All that aside, it's powerful as all get out and sturdy. I did have to take it apart and reassemble it in order to get the blade connector to engage, and it can take a few pulls to start, but...if it has gas in it, and you understand what a choke is, and the switch is on, it'll start.I do think that most of the negative reviews are written by idiots who have never used a two cycle brush cutter, so, you know....A stihl or husqvarna is certainly better, but they're also more than twice as expensive, so you obviously get what you pay for

Awesome power!!
This thing is a beast in a good way. 47 cc is twice the size of a weed eater and has awesome power. I have cleared about 1/4 acre of some really brushy ground and it’s got enough power to take out 3 inch saplings without a problem. I’m using a 40 tooth 10 inch blade on it and it rocks. Takes 4 or 5 pulls to start it and it runs like a champ. Now the bad. After about an hour of use the carb screws backed out and nearly let the carb fall off. Put them back in with some lock tight so that will fix that. The blade guard screws wear as tight as I could get them and the blade guard still rotated on the shaft contacting the blade which immediately cut it in half. No fix for that yet. The left handle bar bent while using and cracked at the mounting point after about 2 hours of use. Then the strap clip broke and the machine just about got away from me. I made my own strap with better clips. This is a heavy duty machine and should be treated as such. Putting regular weed eater bars and straps with a cheesy blade guard is not going to hold up to heavy duty use. I am very happy with the basic machine as it has done everything I wanted it to. Contacted the seller about the flimsy stuf and we will see what the outcome is. For now, I’ll give it a 3 due to the light duty stuff on a heavy duty machine and will update when I hear back from the seller. Overall a good running brush monster. Not for the light Wieght yard guy.

Don't get a bad one. Cost more than paid to send back.
Mine lasted 30 minutes. The engine locked up. It worked great until then. What you need to know is that you have to pay to send it back to China to get a refund. The U.S. Post Office will not take a package that says "Do not ship by Air". That is part of the label from the RMA process. They did say the box the pipes come in would be $87.00 to send by air. UPS and DHL said it would cost hundreds of dollars to ship the two containers that were the original boxes that I received the Coocheer 42.7 string/brush cutter in. I did ask the company via the return process if I could just send the engine but they said I needed to take video/pictures of the problem. I have since taken the engine apart and as expected the piston is stuck to the wall of the cylinder. I will say that when it worked, it worked well. Balance was great. Only used the blade so can't comment on the weed side of it. I use the same mix of premium 2 cycle oil as well as premium unleaded as I use in all my 2 cycle equipment. Lesson learned. If Amazon does not provide the return label, stay away. After taxes and shipping my total was $178. Now I need spend more money on a cylinder head and piston with rings to hopefully make it usable again.3/17/2020Just wanted to update this to let everyone know that the vendor has responded every time I have asked about the issue. After sending a few images to them of the piston they have agreed to send me replacement parts. Will update once I get the parts.

This is a genuine P. O. S. Approach with caution!
Worst weed eater I have ever used. Foreign made, parts are rediculous to order from Australia. Who the heck names a weed whacker Coocher? Yes I bought one. Shame on me. After 5-6 uses. It started falling apart. What a waste of good money. Stick with Sthil or some other USA brand. It might double well as a very small craft anchor. Wish I could get my money back. NOT

Works great after I had it repaired
Lots of difficulty getting it started and running. After many e-mail exchanges I took it to a small engine repair shop and they adjusted the carb and then it worked okay. I think the choke on and off indicators are reversed since it will not run once switching to the off position. The company did issue a partial credit to cover the repair.

Chinese puzzle.
After pulling my arm out of socket trying to start this monster, I finally got it started and alas, the only way I could keep it running was on full choke (so it Indicated). Being a shade tree mechanic, I decided to take a peek at the choke control since I read the horror stories of returning one of these. Lo and behold the “genius” Chinese had made the cover indicator backwards and choke was on instead of off, and vice versa. This isn’t designed for the weak or infirm. I suggest using a back brace. Don’t know how long this one will last, but looking forward to something else next time.

Return
I used this trimmer for 25 minutes then in cut off by itself and has yet to cranks back up. I was told I have to pay the shipping to send it back $70. Why would I have to pay shipping on something that I never really got running in the first place? I finally got ahold of someone from the factory. They are supposed to be sending me a part. However, that was almost 7 weeks ago. Who knows. I did buy the amazon warranty, so I guess I will store the thing until the manufacturer's warranty runs out so I can get the thing fixed.
