Love it but the foot is fragile
I love almost everything about this light. I'm not sure if the foot for the other camera brands is better (because Sony has the worst flash connection ever) but the flash fell out of the hot shoe on a job last night and bounced on the floor. The flash still worked but the right edge of the flash foot that slides into the camera hot shoe broke clean off. It happened to a small Sony branded flash to. I have never had that happen to any other system I have shot over the last 25 years as a professional.

A very good bargain in a high quality hot-shoe mount flash.
"Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in!"A year or so ago I was so happy with my pair of Flashpoint eVOLV 200 monolights, I sold all of my hotshoe mount flashes - about ten of them, Canon, Phottix, and others. But the Godox V1 caught my eye because I could use the eVOLV's round head light modifiers and then I waited some more. Finally with a couple of events to photograph during the past couple of weeks I plunged back into Speedlight land and purchased a Flashpoint Zoom Li-on X R2 TTL On-Camera Round Flash Speedlight for Nikon (Godox V1).On the job, it performed admirably: plenty of power for run and gun shooting even when using the hemispheric diffuser and pointing the flash at the ceiling. Recycle time was fast and output was consistent all day long. I should add that I almost never mount a flash in a camera's hot-shoe and nearly always use the Flashpoint R2 Pro MarkII 2.4GHz Transmitter. Two tricky points:If you use the flash off camera and use a R2 Pro transmitter the flash has to be a certain minimum distance from the transmitter, so if you use the flash on a bracket be mindful of that. Also when using the flash off camera you have to remember to set it to slave mode.

GAME CHANGER!! Buy it now!!
Love everything about it. Shot 2 weddings over the weekend. Used it for getting ready and at both receptions. Never had a failure. Quality of light is great, I used the little dome attachment in accessory kit. Also used it to control my Evole 200 and Explor 600 strobes for the portraits as well as a R-2 speedlight as backlight. I would post photos but it’s against their culture to post online (Africans) Using it as master controler was intuitive. I liked it so well, I purchased the kit version. It’s a game changer, even as just an on camera flash it’s great, but the flexibility to use as trigger for all Flashpoint/Godox strobes and speedlights makes it a no brained. It’s essentially a pro trigger with a built on round head strobe. Much better light quality than the speedlights ( I have 3 of those) 2 evole 200, 2 explor 600 and often run 5-6 light setups. This is perfect tool at wedding reception to control lights in various locations in the room QUICKLEY! No fumbling thru menu like on normal master speedlight Also no optical option, just RT so no scrolling to find master. It’s intuitive, just like the pro trigger. All in one. Amazing tool. Also gives control in 1/10 stops vs 1/3 stop for precision control of each group.

Very Dependable!
I'm impressed with its performance. Best speedlight I've owned. I highly recommend it.

I already have one of these. Picked up a second one as a backup and for the second battery. Love the Godox/Flashpoint product line. Easiet flash system out there. Also controls my Godox/Flashpoint strobes

Great speedlight and great kit
Love the versatility of this flash with its modifiers. FYI - Flashpoint is the remarketed name from Adorama of Godox lights. I'm a pro and have used many speedlites over the years. My older Godox li-ion units had gotten a bit beat up and less reliable and when these came on sale, I bought one. Found it quite reliable and the ttl works better on this unit than other godox units I have had. Love all the modifiers and the way they snap on. THe round dome diffuser is the best I've found. It stays on and its small so it doesn't get knocked off.Be careful with power as this has less than the older units but is very sufficient for any event I have shot so far with it. I do try and minimize the flash look so I shoot high iso and wide open often for events so the flaqsh output is kept quite low.

Great value and features, just hoping it holds up over time
I opted to buy this Flashpoint version of the Godox V1 mainly because Adorama is a trusted vendor, and I couldn't say the same about the Godox sellers on Amazon. I was looking for a less expensive strobe for a Sony a7iii, but also one that I could try new things with. The round head and the various accessories in the Godox AK-1 kit will keep me busy for awhile. While a bit plasticky in feel, the feature set is impressive with the LI-ON battery and the wireless trigger options. I do agree the rotation of the head is on the stiff side, but hopefully that will loosen up with the time. If there's a concern about this adding undue stress on the hot shoe foot, try to get in the habit of holding the flash body while rotating the flash head to decrease the pressure on the foot.
