I am 5'4" and weight 137 lbs. I chose the 15lb blanket based on the recommendation that the blanket should be 10% of your body weight plus 1 to 2 lbs. For several years now I have had trouble sleeping. I tend to wake up at least 6 times a night and it takes me up to an hour to fall asleep even if I'm tired. I find that when I use the weighted blanket I wake up less often and I fall asleep faster. I also tend to have a lot of nightmares for some reason as well, but that has also decreased since using the blanket. I am very sensitive to warm temperatures (can't even sleep under the same blanket as someone else or i get too hot), so I was worried that the blanket would be like a sauna. To my delight, unless i go to bed stressed and riled up, the blanket keeps me at the perfect temperature. I love my blanket! I'll honestly probably end up buying the 25lb one at some point though, because the 15lb is nice but isn't as heavy as I expected it to feel. I want it to be like I am being hugged and squeezed. If this is what you are looking for as well I suggest getting a blanket that is at least 5 lbs heavier than the weight recommended for your body size.

I never write reviews but thought I should after buying two of these blankets! I haven’t slept through the night for almost 6 years, thanks to a difficult pregnancy and baby. It trained my body to only sleep a couple hours at a time. I tried everything, and am shocked that a weighted blanket worked so magically! From restless legs, insomnia, anxiety, it is an instant fix! I have it draped over me while I write this and it feels amazing!

Update 9/4/18: Because I love this blanket so much, and did feel I could use more weight, I ordered a 2nd blanket less than two weeks later. The new one is the same excellent quality, but arrived in a different shade of gray, so I've posted a picture so you can see the difference (and that the squares are 6" as stated). The 1st one was a neutral to slightly warm mid-tone gray, the 2nd one is a more blue toned gray (I'm sorry I couldn't capture the exact colors, but you can see the difference). Fortunately I am using them on top of each other, but if I had wanted to use them side by side I would have been disappointed. I'm bringing this up because if you will be using them side by side, I recommend buying them both at the same time since the fabric may come from different dye lots.I do love the extra weight, and don't find the 30lbs to be too heavy for me, but it definitely makes it warmer, so I have to leave the fan on or turn down the thermostat to stay comfortable in the summer. It will be great for winter!Original Review:I have always loved the feeling of heavy blankets and comforters piled on top of me, but it's too hot in the summer to do that. I was thrilled to find that a weighted blanket was actually "a thing", and I can use it in the summer without getting too warm! After looking at many weighted blankets, I chose this one for the great reviews on the quality, the price, and that it had glass beads instead of plastic for the weight.I originally wanted a 20lb blanket, but due to the price difference, and the fact that I didn't even know if I would like it, and with the idea I could add another blanket for additional weight in the future, I went with the 48"x72" 15lb.It feels heavy when you handle it, but it is not at all uncomfortable to sleep under. In fact, I think I am sleeping much better, since I often wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back to sleep, and that hasn't happened since I started using this blanket about a week ago.The blanket itself is a super soft cotton, and the beads make no noise at all. The weight seems to be evenly distributed and the quality is excellent. It comes in a very nice box that would be a lovely presentation if you are giving this blanket as a gift.At this point the only con I can see is that it must be dry cleaned, but since I use it on top of a sheet, that shouldn't be a problem. All in all this blanket has been one of the best purchases I have ever made!

This is the BEST purchase I have ever made. I have been an insomniac for years and have never successfully been treated. Even with many doctors appointments and medications. NOTHING worked! On top of that I have RLS (restless Leg Syndrome). I thought I would give this blanket a try since it was "weighted" and when I am in pain with the nerves in my legs and can't sleep for so many reasons I always want weight on my legs and body. This product is not advertised for RLS but it absolutely should be! I have had my blanket for three days and I have been basically sleeping in a coma like state!!! Its is the soundest and best sleep I have ever had in my life. And the comforting weight on my legs and boy just eases those RLS symptoms and drifts me off to a sound sleep!!! It is so hard to describe the feeling of peace and comfort the minute you lay it on your body. I actually ordered the 15 pound blanket for my weight and height because I wanted the extra weight just in case. I decided to go ahead an order a second one if I have an emergency situation and need even more weight on my legs...This product is phenomenal to say the least!!!

I'll probably be returning this. All of the seams are coming undone after few weeks of use. All the weights are roaming freely inside the blanket. I'm really dissatisfied by the poor quality of this blanketUPDATE: I'm also very dissatisfied by the company. I contacted them to see whether a replacement was possible and got no answer whatsoever. I'll be returning this for sure

First 3-4 nights I wasn't sure about it but once I got used to it I began to love it. My fitbit ionic tracker shows a significant increase in sleep quality since I got it. My REM sleep in particular shows frequently at double the amount I was getting before the blanket. Not sure if it will be too warm for me in the summer but otherwise I am extremely happy with the purchase. I weigh 204 pounds so I thought about getting the 25 pound one, but I took the 20 pound one and I feel like it was the right choice for me. The 25 pound one might have been a bit too heavy.

I've been searching for goose down duvets and wool blankets since I was a child, anything I could pile on my bed to give that weighty, tucked-in feeling. So when I discovered "weighted blankets" were a thing, I had to try it.I'm really impressed with the quality for the cost, the seams are sturdy on both the edges and the quilting, the fabric is durable and tightly woven without feeling overly thick, and no beads or sand has leaked out. I went for the 60x80 25lb blanket knowing it was just for me and its nice and roomy. If you plan to share with a partner I would definitely size up or buy two, though. I also sleep quite warm, so I was very happy that this blanket was sufficiently heavy without making me sweat all night.This is my first weighted blanket and I've only had it about two weeks, but so far I would say this has definitely helped with my quality of sleep. I sleep longer and even the nights where I can't sleep longer I feel more rested.My plan was to just try this blanket out and if I didn't like it, return it. But I'm keeping it. Well worth the price.

I suffer from a anxiety disorder and have frequent panic attacks. This blanket helps me SO MUCH! I had been searching with my husband for a decent weighted blanket and I could not be happier with this purchase.

I live in Alberta Canada with both extreme hits and colds and so far in the heat I’m enjoying the weight and that this blanket keeps me feeling cool in a hot room. I tend to overheat easily and am very pleased that I feel cool compared to hotter room temperatures.-60x80 covers just the queen mattress so go larger for more coverage- comes packaged neatly and the blanket is evenly weighted and feels durable.-at approx 25+- degrees room temps the blanket feels cool while fully covered. No kicking my legs out of the blanket because I’m overheating!!- the weight is evenly distributed and nicely conforms to my body like hug.-I will update my review come colder seasons but as of now I am very pleased.
