I bought this used for more ideas since I am a grandmother and I do Sunday dinners every week. The recipes are basic good old fashioned home cooked dishes and alot of family favorites. I love the fact that most recipes use ingredients that I would have in the freezer, garden,or in the pantry. No special trip to the grocery store to fix a meal . I would like to mention that the instructions on fixing the meal is just basic. They are fine for someone who cooks all the time but if you need detailed instructions ,(like what is put on the internet) this would not be a good choice for you ,unless you have a Gramma that you can ask.

A lot of familiar recipes and several I haven’t seen before and am eager to try. I love browsing through cookbooks and especially enjoy when stories about the recipes are included.

I LOVE these cookbooks and I have given it has gifts multiple times and it always helps to bring up ole memories and make new memories.

Unique from the same old mac and cheese or eggs benedict in the new cookbooks trying to be fresh and hip. This is what I want from a cookbook. Not avocado toast or something silly like that. Worth it

Gave this to my 86 yr old mom for Christmas. She loves it and I go over for dinner a lot more often.

I love the format of these books. Always down to earth recipes that I would try and tidbits of ideas and info for crafts or holiday ideas. My favorite cookbookss of all time!

I looked at the recipes and they look easy to make. I can't wait to start making some. If you like comfort foods you will like this cookbook.

These recipes remind me so much of my mom and grandma. Good old fashion good to fill your spirit as well as you stomach.

I have used a number of recipes from this cookbook and they are very tasty, as well as being easy to follow and having the ingredients on hand. They are comfort foods that remind you of home at Mom's or Grandma's house.

So many of these recipes are familiar but missing from my current collection, which sees to be primarily focussed on specific diets or cooking methods. Even though some of the ingredients are 'verbotten' in healthy cooking today, there's no denying the taste appeal of these old fashioned recipes. I will enjoy trying out these recipes!

Gooseberry Patch recipe books have been a great source of entertainment and yummy recipes for years at our house. Each holiday, we try out new recipes and have so much fun taste-testing, then scoring the desirability of making it again. We haven't found a bad one yet! Enjoy!
