Well, what do you know!πππ
Namaste products can be great...their gf unsweetened muffins, for ex. Sadly, these are not, so I have removed them from my S and S shopping. Tried one as directed..yucky gooey texture. Today, followed another customer's idea and added an egg. That definitely helped. It popped up wonderfully, and I added a bit of butter and brown sugar for a coffee cake effect. BUT it still didn't taste wonderful. Too sweet, not great texture, tho hard to describe. I actually threw part of it out. πΊπΈπ½July 14, 2019 UPDATE: I need to correct an injustice I committed against Namaste and these. I still need to try the yellow cake again with my "trick", but I received the preordered cinnamon flavor on Friday, wanted to try again, if nothing else to use them up. So other than throwing in a few walnut bits, I made one exactly as directed. Started to eat it out of the cup as I thought was correct, and that just didn't work. I scooped it then completely out, cut in half what then looked like a little cake, and tried it eating it with my fingers as a muffin...and it was heavenly!!!πππ As weird a warning as it might seem, DON'T eat them out of the mug, and your perspective might be entirely different. I will add another update after retrying the yellow cake mixes...hope they are good after all. But the cinnamon ones are surely staying in my S and S shopping cart now! ππ½ππΉπThe price on Subscribe and Save, (I was delighted to see there are FOUR muffin/cake packages in each box, which isn't clear at all on their site...Namaste?) and their convenience are great if you like them. There is no problem with a bad scent, to me....in fact, they both smell yummy. So I changed my review to five stars. So, what do you know? Try 'em, they are now certainly worth it to me, and thank you Namaste (I have always loved your name, too.ππ)!

Make waffles instead
I have a ton of allergies and this is one of the few treats I can have. Instead of microwaving, make the batter as directed and put it in a waffle iron. I have a small Bella brand one that I use. It takes about 2-3 minutes to cook. They will seem soggy when they first come off the iron. Let them cool for about 3-5 minutes before eating and they have the perfect level of crispiness. One pouch will make two standard size waffles. This is so much better than microwaving. You will love it.

I ordered this hoping it would be better than Udi's ,sadly it wasn't....
I ordered this hoping it would better than Udi's and sadly it wasn't.AT . ALL!Ok, I take that back it didn't smell as bad as the "blueberry muffin" Udi's,which when I tried it I had kept hopingit would taster better than it smelled... again I was saddened when I was wrong...This had an odd taste/smell thing going on as well but different in there wasn't a smell here really..I kept thinking shouldn't this smell like a least a hint of Vanilla ? But I didn't really smell anything. I tried to dismissmy unease at that, hoping it didn't mean anything... I followed the directions exactly and placed it in the microwaveand then let it sit there a few minutes to cool and set... What I go was a thoroughly cooked something... Not sure what to call it the texture and consistency was similar but different from both the Udi's and from the Pilsbury's gluten freecakes I normally cooked in the oven.. Still no smell but I took a bite hoping for a good taste... Nothing. I didn't really taste of anything. Odd texture,no smell and NO taste. I just threw it out and cleaned the mug deeply disappointed. When you are told your body is either allergic to sensitive anything but especially something like gluten (which is in EVERY FREAKIN THING!)(or soo it feels) it can feel devastating and it was for me.... I live in the south and it seems wheat is in everything I have ever loved or enjoyed food wise and while I Thank the good Lord for Pilsbury soo I canhave gluten free cake at least occasionally and w/vanilla pudding added to the mix I honestly can't tell it from any other yellow cake I've ever had. I was hoping This was going to be the solution to being able to have make a little more often and not having to cook a whole take when I just wanted a little taste. sadly for me this is a NO and my search continues...

great flavor, easy to make.
These are great for my multi-food allergy kiddos. So easy to make. My 3yo loves being able to make her own cake as it is so simple to give her a small dixie cup with oil and water for her to mix herself. I use oatmilk instead of water, but don't find that it changes the flavor or texture much, it's just a preference. even my mother-in-law who has celiac absolutely loved this and my gluten-free product non-liking father-in-law really liked it as well.

Must have for someone with food allergies!
These are my new favorite. As someone with a VERY restricted diet due to allergies and a serious sweet tooth, this is a really amazing option to sooth that cake craving.I'm all about almond extract and that extra sweetness so I add a drop or two of that in the mix before tossing it in the microwave. I am also at a high elevation and my microwave is set to high so my cakes have no problem rising. Keeping it in for 1:45 actually over bakes it! I've found that 1:38 is just perfect for a light fluffy texture.100% would recommend!!!

We LOVE Namaste Cake Cups!
I first bought these as a special, fun treat for my toddler. We absolutely love both the chocolate and vanilla. They are so easy and fun to make with little ones. They are also very tasty, especially considering how health conscious the ingredients are. Very happy with Namaste Cake Cups!

Easy, Delicious Cake
I have a sweet tooth & I have Celiac Disease. I used to have to bake a whole cake so I could have a gluten free cake. A mug cake satisfies my sweet tooth without tempting me to eat more. The taste is great; one of the best gluten free cakes I've found.
