Floto Luggage Cortona Laptop Brief, Olive/Brown, Medium

I LOVE the bag, but I have to take two stars off because about 9 months in to owning it the strap broke. In fact, not just the strap, but the piece that attaches directly to the bag, so I will need to replace.Update 07/17: I am now sending in the bag for the second time to be repaired (strap and metal buckle). Kudos to Floto as they will repair the bag for free so long as I pay for shipping. I still love the bag, but am disappointed in the craftsmanship of the strap.

Initial thoughts:Very nice leather bag. When I initially purchased the real leather smell was awesome in my office. Did not smell any glue but only the leather indicating giving a sense of the quality. Very Slick polished leather feel and look, Not a tough/rugged feel.Handle - Feels really comfortable to carry. I did, however, have some problems (after about 6 months of use) with one of the screws coming out. I contacted the company and they sent a replacement screw very quickly. I put back in with some loctite and have not had any problems since.Strap - I thought I would get the comfort strap, however the one it came with is pretty nice. I like that its leather and feels pretty sturdy. I have not purchased the comfort strap as the original seemed to suit my needs fine. I sometimes switch between using the handle and strap as both are fairly comfortable.Buckle - Works well. No issue with it coming undone. I only carry a med lenova laptop, charger and perhaps a few files. So not a lot of weight.Interior - I really love the canvas interior. More leather may be nice, but I think I would prefer the canvas as it a feel that I personally prefer.Cons (after 2 years of use)- The "laptop" pocket is the perfect size however there is not a cushion or anything to protect a laptop or tablet. Not a deal breaker but one thing to consider if you think you may be throwing the back around. A computer sleeve may be a good addition if you want to add a bit of cushion to your laptop- the front pocket is perfect for charger, business cards, pen, etc. However, the back pocket does not have much "structure" to it. I would consider this pretty good quality as it makes it more comfortable to carry, however, if I have papers in that pocket I see them over the course of a few days begin to bend and come out looking rolled up. I think a good portfolio pad (or stiff note book that would hold up its own weight) would be a perfect addition to this to keep any folders or loose papers in. I personally think if you just put a newspaper rolled up it would be probably be perfect as is.- I have seen the bottom begin to wear out slowly. I am going to apply some leather conditioner to try to make last awhile but I think some small brass studs may make it a bit more durable on this wear and tear spot.

The interior zipper is poor quality. Even if I really like the style (which I ended up not liking in person) I would have to send it back due to the zipper- it does not close smoothly.

There are briefcases and then there are /briefcases/. This is the latter. Not a day goes by that I don't get a compliment on this piece. The quality of the leather is superb. It holds everything I need with room to spare. I do wish there was more support in the bottom of the brief as after a couple of months, it has started to lean to the back side when I sit it down. I guess that's just because I don't keep too much in the back pocket? I've been thinking of a way to stabilize it, but haven't put too much effort. Mild annoyance more than anything.Long story short, you'd be crazy not to buy this.

Gorgeous leather. Superbly constructed and exquisitely made. I now own several Floto bags. This bag is roomy on the inside: big enough for a thick notebook/ with lots of research articles, my laptop, the cords, some cosmetics and my wallet. It can be a tad heavy; I'd imagine due to the thickness of the leather. They might be expensive, but they are worth it!

This briefcase is amazing. I love the quality of the leather and how much I can fit inside. The only downside is the ultra thin shoulder strap, which I find unusable.

Great size fits a good amount of files or papers. Excellent quality and construction. Leather looks and feels great. Handsome bag.

Exceeded expectations. Love it. Have only had it short time, and already received numerous compliments. Highly recommend.
