LOK Grips Spec Ops Custom 1911 Grips Standard Full Size Commander (Brown-Black)This is my very first set of grips that I purchased for my Remington 1911 R1 Commander. I can not compare these against other similar aftermarket grips, but based on the answers and reviews provided I decided to get a pair in brown/black.I'm very glad that I did. The color is right on point if you like a combination of FDE and Black. The texture is great and I felt the weapon very secure in my hand. I added a Pearce Grip PG1911-1 for added comfort. Some reviews state that they had to alter the grip with some 400 grit paper. Not the case for me. They fit like a glove on my Remington 1911 R1.I was going to pay $70 for the features I wanted on the VZ grips. I definitely recommend these ones. Jayson provided top tier customer service and S&H was fast.

This is the second set I've ordered of the LOK Custom Grips. This Orange/Black set is absolutely gorgeous! They fit my 1911 ATI GI 45 perfectly. The ambi safety cut was not needed on this 1911 model, but it's there should I decide to move these grips to another pistol that requires that feature. I believe this is one of the best improvements you can make to your 1911. The texture gives you a really good grip no matter what the conditions, wet, dry, cold or hot. The mag release relief is awesome, now I can release the magazine with my thumb without changing my grip... That alone makes this worth the purchase. The G10 material used is layered with two alternating colors of black and your choice of orange, blue, brown, green, gray etc. The material is machined, cutting into the different layers giving beauty and life to this piece of art! Yes, I am definitely a fan of LOK Custom Grips!

Very nice grips for a 1911. They have a nice grippy texture that doesn't chew into your hand. The pattern is extremely similar to another brand's grips Operater II's, but at a much more reasonable price point. I am a huge fan of the texture. I didn't have any complaints about the standard checkered wood grips, but these are way better. They look really good too. My set of grips was actually pretty dark. It definitely has a reddish tint to it, like a really dark set of cherry grips. On a black, or parkerized 1911 they look really good. I didn't encounter any fitment issues, and quality of the grips seems very high, at least on par with other manufacturers.

To start off, the color of these grips is great. The material is nice. These will fit but need some work. The cut out for the ambi safety is not long enough. It will allow the safety to only halfway click into position. Plus they are not nearly as aggressive as other grips I have on some of my other 1911s. If you don't mind some time with a dremel to make these fit then they are ok. Next time I'll spend the extra $ to get another set of vz grips. I figured these would be closer. Ok for the price..

I was looking at VZ grips after seeing them on another gun. I noticed the ad for LOK grips and after reading other's comments, I ordered a set for my Desert Eagle 1911 G. The grips were shipped VERY FAST and upon receiving them; I had them installed in 5 mins. The are exactly what I wanted and look and feel just like the VZ's I tried at the gun store. With the money I saved, I was able to purchase a set of VZ Turbo Screws which match/fit my LOC grips. I would purchase these again and highly recommend this company and their products!!

I've got a full size Springfield 1911 that has ambi safety. These fit perfectly (I was worried because I saw a review that said the cutout for the ambi safety was too small). They look great and they're extremely comfortable to shoot with. They offer great grip - even with sweaty hands. It's also nice that they don't nickel and dime you with things like ambi safety and beveling. These are every bit as good as VZ grips, but end up being much less expensive.

Transformed my RIA 1911 GI Standard FS 10MM, with nondescript grips into a modern classic. I was blow away how much these grip made a difference. Ordered a pair in 'black-gray', which actually plays black-green at night (go figure).. Now if the price would only come down (a little) on LOK 1911 "Punisher" Grips, I'd place an order for them too.

Love the feel and the fitment. Wish they didnt slope down at the bottom so they would butt up with my magwell. The black it a little more grey then it looks in the picture. Almost chalky.
